Kohler Puts $24.5 Million Creative Account Into Review

KOHLER, WI: After 11 years with Austin, Texas-based GSD&M, Kohler has put its kitchen and bathroom creative account into review.

The Omnicom agency confirmed it will not participate. Aside from creative, GSD&M handled digital and promotion. Media is handled by Vizeum, New York — that agency is not affected by the review. A Kohler spokeswoman said there is a consultant overseeing the review but did not provide details.

In a statement, Kohler said: “Kohler Company has had a successful 11-year relationship with GSD&M. We’re grateful for our partnership with GSD&M, as together we’ve built our brand and inspired a higher level of gracious living for our customers. We part ways with gratitude, mutual respect and best wishes for continued success.”

In October, GSD&M was named agency of record for Crown’s Pacifico and Victoria beer brands, as well as vacation-rental marketplace HomeAway, for which the agency won creative and media duties. GSD&M won creative duties for home-building giant Pulte Group last November.

Kohler last year spent about $24.5 million in measured media, according to Kantar. Kohler is on track to up its spending this year, having already spent $16 million in the first half of the year.
