Alberta Securities Commission seeks marketing firm to help harmonize regulation

Steve’s breakdown: You’ll have to register at their website to get the RFP, which is due back January 17th, but it shouldn’t be a big deal. Here’s the link.

CALGARY, Canada: The Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) is the regulatory agency responsible for administering the province’s securities laws. It is entrusted to foster a fair and efficient capital market in Alberta and to protect investors. As a member of the Canadian Securities Administrators, the ASC works to improve, coordinate and harmonize the regulation of Canada’s capital markets. For further information on the ASC, please visit the ASC website at

The ASC requests proposals for a vendor to assist in the creation and delivery of various internal and external communications, planning, and project implementation. The vendor will be contracted to enhance the in-house expertise of the ASC Communications and Investor Education team by assisting in the development and promotion of various ASC projects. The Vendor should have experience and measurable results in the following areas:

• annual reports (first due June 29, 2012);
• website design;
• public awareness campaigns (include online presence);
• branding plus brand application guide;
• research surveys and measurement;
• PowerPoint template development;
• social media (strategy/technical expertise); and
• media buys.

The Vendor should have experience with project management, including performance measurements and providing deliverables on time, within budget and within specifications. The Vendor should also have a dedicated team to support the ASC projects and demonstrate an understanding of the ASC.

The Requests for Proposal would like to secure the services of the Vendor until February 15, 2014 (with an option of a 12 month exemption).
