Piedmont Healthcare get some new blood with CMO hire

ATLANTA, GA: Piedmont Healthcare has named Matt Gove as chief marketing officer, according to a news release from the Buckhead hospital corporation.
Gove, Grady Health System’s senior vice president for marketing and external affairs since 2009, will start his new role at Piedmont Oct. 31, according to a news release. He will be responsible for marketing, corporate communications, web development, community benefits and public relations.
“It is important in this competitive and fragmented market that Piedmont Healthcare continues to grow,” Ed Lovern, chief administrative officer at Piedmont Healthcare, said in a statement. “Matt’s success at Grady during a time of great change as well as his success in the real estate industry brings unique experiences and fresh ideas to Piedmont.”
Before Gove took his positition at Grady, he was responsible for marketing and communications at Atlanta-based Cousins Properties for more than six years. Previously, Gove gained experience in journalism including work at the Atlanta Business Chronicle, in public relations at the Gove Network, and in international marketing and public relations at MS&L Group.
“I joined the health-care industry during a fascinating and challenging period, and the change only seems to be accelerating” said Gove. “I look forward to working with the team at Piedmont Healthcare to implement new ideas and advance the vision and mission of such a large, dynamic healthcare system.”
