Steve’s breakdown: Why not – right? Let’s see what they come up with. Hopefully the winner/s eventually get some paying projects in the future. It would be bad form not to have that happen. Here’s the brief

NEW YORK, NY: In collaboration with the Clio Awards, NYC & Company, the official destination marketing association and convention and visitors bureau for the five boroughs, is searching for agencies to participate in the revitalization of the brand of New York City by pitching one or all of three deliverables, all on a pro bono basis.

  1. Creating a new logo and tagline for the City’s Tourism Recovery efforts
  2. Creating a media campaign that includes a :30 content piece and gratis distribution plan for this content
  3. Offering research that will inform the approach of the campaign

The City’s destination marketing organization is seeking support in creating a campaign that will remind viewers of what they love and miss about the five boroughs, and make them long to visit and explore once again—with the firm reminder that the NYC they know and love will be back, better than ever.
